Last chance to run the two-lap course

3 June is your last chance to run ASICS Stockholm Marathon’s classic two-lap course. Next year, for the 40th anniversary of the Marathon, we are launching a new, completely fresh course. If you are running this year, you’ll have priority to register for the 2018 race. Smart – since you won’t want to miss a new course which features fewer repeats, a tighter city feel and easier hills.

Changes to the 2017 marathon course

Asics Stockholm Marathon 2017 will include 6.9 new kilometres. The main change is Södermälarstrand, where the southern waterfront of Lake Mälaren is replaced by a stretch through the central part of Södermalm, past shops, houses and people. We hope this will result in even bigger cheering crowds of enthusiastic locals. What’s more, you’ll avoid the steep incline onto the Västerbro Bridge. The other change is where the second lap begins in Östermalm. But, of course, there’s no change to the finish – after 42,195 metres, you’ll still run into Stockholm Olympic Stadium. Welcome !

Welcome to the Marathon 3 June 2017

The registration for ASICS Stockholm Marathon 2017 is open. At the same time we are launching a film which is a tribute to you and all the runners who accept the challenge and take to the roads in the long pursuit of their goal and their dreams.

We would also like to remind you about our pricing structure. It pays to enter early. Welcome.
