Stockholm Marathon is using Champion Chip for timing. You will receive your chip at the registration. During the race the chip must be attached to your left shoe. You will receive detailed instructions with your chip. At Stockholm Marathon white chips will be used which all runners must return after the race. If you do not return the chip you must pay SEK 200. If you have a personal chip this can not be used. Your time is recorded when you pass the start line and the finish line. This time is called net time and is the time which will be used in the result list for all runners except the seeded elite runners. The gross time – the time from the starting gun to crossing of the finish line – will also be in the result list. Intermediate times will be recorded at 5 kilometres, 10 km, 15 km, 20 km, 21.1 km (half way), 25 km, 30 km, 35 km and 40 km. These times will be printed on your certificate and will also be in the results on the Internet. After the race you must return your chip at ”Östermalms IP”. When this is done you will receive your official finisher´s T-shirt.
