WELCOME TO THIS YEAR’S RUNNING FESTIVAL, SATURDAY 3 JUNE

On Saturday 3 June, it’s time for the 44th adidas Stockholm Marathon. The first start groups set off at 12:00, the second groups at 12:10. Below you’ll find all the information you need for the race.

Number bib, goodie bag and exhibitors at adidas Stockholm Marathon Expo in FuturPensionHallen

You’ll experience a fantastic atmosphere when you collect your goodie bag and number bib at adidas Stockholm Marathon Expo. Take with you your registration card, printed out or in digital format, when you collect your number bib. If you are collecting a friend’s bib you must have their registration card, either printed or in digital form. Did you know that the Expo is open to the public? So you can also take with you family, friends or colleagues to soak up the atmosphere.

Set aside a little extra time for the Expo so that you can make the most of the special offers from our partners, enjoy what’s happening on stage, take part in a training session and stop for a coffee.
And if you have a child who is running Mini Marathon on 4 June, you can also collect their number bib and T-shirt at the Expo. If you’re collecting your number bib on Friday, you can also go to the Zeta Pasta Party at the Olympic Stadium from 12:00 – 20:00.

Opening times:
Thursday 1 June, 15:00-20:00
Friday 2 June, 10:00-20:00
Saturday 3 June, 8:00-11:00

Venue: FuturPensionHallen, Östermalms IP, sports ground.

If you think you’ll need a taxi after the race, it’s difficult for taxis to get to the finish area due to road blocks. The best solution is to go to the turning point on Storängsvägen and book a Stockholm Taxi, tel: 08 15 00 00.

Number bibs can only be collected at these times. If any of the personal information on the digital registration card is incorrect, please email the correct information to [email protected]
At the number bib distribution, you will receive your number bib and a large plastic kit bag as well as a self-adhesive label with your start number which can be used if you want to hand in a change of clothes or your valuables at Östermalms IP. The bag also contains products from adidas Stockholm Marathon’s partners.

 • Are personal and may not be used by another runner.
• Must be clearly visible on your chest during the race.
• Have a letter – A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H or J – which indicates in which group you will start
• Have a reverse side which you should use to fill in the name and telephone number of a relative or friend who we can contact if anything happens to you. Indicate also if you take any medication or have a medical condition. This will help our medical team in case of emergency.
• Have a timing chip on the reverse side. Be careful not to damage the chip with safety pins or in any other way.

There will be a lot of people at the Expo after 16:00 on Thursday and Friday and after 10:00 on Saturday. We recommend that, if possible you come outside these hours to avoid having to queue. Contact us if you want more information.

Directions – using public transport

Underground and bus are the easiest and most environmentally friendly ways to travel both to adidas Stockholm Marathon Expo and to the start outside the Stadium. Another sustainable way to get there is to cycle and you can leave your bike outside the Expo (but not on Saturday)
To get to the Expo and the start, take red line 14 on the underground towards Mörby Centrum and get off at Stadion (about 400m). SL have a travel planner in English on their website www.sl.se or mobil.sl.se
Leave your car at home or park in one of Stockholm’s ’infartsparkeringar’ (the equivalent of Park and Ride). You can download a parking permit, which is valid as a parking ticket for 3-4 June 2023 for the ’infartsparkeringar’ listed on the permit. Download the permit here

Zeta pasta party at the Olympic Stadium

As usual, we will help you charge your batteries before Saturday’s race. Come along to ZETA’s carbo-load at the Stadium. We are providing pasta, bread, drinks and entertainment from the stage at the Stadium’s Marathon Gate. Zeta pasta party is open from 12:00 to 20:00 on Friday 2 June. If you collect your number bib on Thursday or Friday, you will receive a ticket to the party and on the reverse side is a map with directions.

Intermediate times

the course at 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, 20 km, 21.1 km (halfway), 25 km, 30 km, 35 km and 40 km. Please note that the clocks start with Group 1, ie at 12:00 so if you start in Group 2 you will need to deduct 10 minutes from the time shown on the clocks.
At these points your individual intermediate times are recorded and will be shown in the results on the race website. Intermediate times are also shown on the diploma which you can download after the race.

Pacemakers

Are you unsure about what pace you should run? If so, our pacemakers can help you keep to the right pace. Follow one of our experienced marathon runners who will run the race at an even tempo with finishing times from 3 hours to 5 hours, 45 mins.
The pacemakers run at a designated speed which give the following finish times, based on the ”gross time” ie the time from the start gun for the respective start group to the finish line:

• 3.00 (finish time): Black flag (start group B, C)
• 3.15 (finish time): Red flag (start group C, D)
• 3.30 (finish time): Grey flag (start group C, D, E)
• 3.45 (finish time): Orange flag (start group D, E, F)
• 4.00 (finish time): White flag (start group E, F, G)
• 4.15 (finish time): Yellow flag (start group F, G, H)
• 4.30 (finish time): Black flag (start group F, G, H)
• 4.45 (finish time): Red flag (start group G, H, J)
• 5.00 (finish time): Grey flag (start group G, H, J)
• 5.15 (finish time): Orange flag (start group H, J)
• 5.30 (finish time): White flag (start group J)
• 5:45 (finish time): Yellow flag (start group J)

The flag which is attached to the pacemaker’s back shows which finish time they aim for. They also wear a bib which shows which start time they have.
At the pacemakers stand at the adidas Stockholm Marathon Expo you can pick up a pacing wristband with information which helps you keep to the km times.

Our partner for waste management and recycling.

Marathongruppen and Sortera have been working together for a number of years to make our events more sustainable. In 2023 we’re introducing a new stage in our waste management and you as a runner can play an important role. In our event areas and around the start and finish there are sorting stations where you can sort your waste in different categories. This means you may need to go a few extra metres to find the sorting stations in our event areas. On the course, at drinks and energy stations there are stations for mugs and food waste, as usual.
Please look for Sortera’s stations when you dispose of your waste. This will help us with our cleaning and you will be playing an important role in our sustainable work with Sortera.
