NEW EVENT AREA
GETTING HERE – New Event Area & Start/Finish
The start and finish are located at Gärdet by Lindarängsvägen, Djurgården.
adidas Premiärhalvan takes place in the Royal National City Park, a protected natural area with unique environmental value. To help preserve the surroundings, we kindly encourage all participants to choose eco‑friendly transportation on race day. Leave the car at home and travel by public transport or bicycle.
Please arrive at the event area at Lindarängsvägen in good time before your start. Many runners will be traveling at the same time, and space on the metro and buses is limited. Consider cycling and parking your bike nearby.
There are several ways to reach the event area at Gärdet:
- Metro Red Line 13 to Gärdet, exit Brantingsgatan
- Bus 1 towards Frihamnen to the stop Storskärsgatan
- More information is available at sl.se
PARKING
We strongly recommend leaving your car at home and opting for public transport or cycling.
If you must drive, parking is available in the residential areas of Östermalm (subject to availability). Remember to pay any parking fees.
SELFIE SPOT
Celebrate your achievement with a fun post‑race selfie featuring your finishing time!
If you set a new personal best — don’t miss the chance to ring the PB Bell and show off your accomplishment!
FUEL UP WITH ENERVIT
Enervit will be on‑site during all race bib pick‑up hours — both Friday and Saturday — offering a wide selection of products. Take the opportunity to ask questions and get expert guidance on what to use based on your goals.
If you’re preparing for adidas Stockholm Marathon, this is a perfect chance to test Enervit’s products during the race. Good luck, and a warm welcome from Enervit!
Other partners on site: adidas, Run Academy, the Swedish Police, and Idrottsskadespecialisterna.
START
There are ten start groups in total, with the first wave starting at 11:00.
You’ll find your assigned start group on your check-in-pass, sent via email around April 11.
- Start Groups 1–5 gather directly in the start corrals on Lindarängsvägen.
- Start Groups 6–10 gather beside the road at their designated group signs and will be guided into the start corrals when it is their turn.

THE COURSE
The adidas Premiärhalvan course runs through Gärdet and Southern Djurgården. The start and finish area is located at Sportgärdet by Lindarängsvägen.
Course surface includes asphalt, gravel, and paving stones.
Total elevation gain: 183 meters.
Kilometer markers are placed at every kilometer along the route.
The course, measuring 21,098 meters, has been officially measured and certified by Mikael Hill, an approved course measurer for the Swedish Athletics Federation.

HYDRATION AND ENERGY STATIONS
There will be five hydration stations along the course, located at:
- 4.7 km – water + sports drink
- 9.4 km – water + sports drink
- 12.8 km – water + sports drink
- 16 km – water + sports drink
- 18.2 km – water only
At each station, water and/or Enervit sports drink will be served. Sports drink will be available on the first tables, followed by water on the tables after that.
Please think of the environment:
- Take only one cup per station
- Make sure your cup ends up in a waste bag so it doesn’t spread into nature
Water is also available in the event area before the start and after the finish line.
Along the course, you will also find two energy stations, placed just before the hydration stations. We serve:
- Dextro Energy tablets at 4.7 km
- Dextro Energy Gums at 12.8 km
WASTE ZONES
On longer distances, many runners carry their own energy such as gels or bars between aid stations. Since no litter may be thrown on the ground, we have created designated Waste Zones at several locations along the course:
- 5.1 km
- 9.8 km
- 13.2 km
- 16.5 km
It is illegal to litter in Sweden, and this applies during the race as well.
We encourage you to plan your energy intake and hold on to your waste until you reach a Waste Zone.
Littering can cause trash to blow into open water or dense vegetation, where cleanup becomes extremely difficult and wildlife such as birds and fish may suffer.
Many endurance sports — such as skiing and cycling — have already successfully eliminated this behavior. Let’s help running do the same and keep our city and nature beautiful!

FOUR SPLIT TIME DISPLAYS
Split times will be displayed at 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, and 20 km.
Please note that the clocks start according to the first start group at 11:00. This means that if, for example, you start in start group 9, you must subtract 45 minutes from the displayed split times.
CHEERING & ENTERTAINMENT ALONG THE COURSE
At adidas Premiärhalvan, you are the focus of the day. You’ll be cheered on by spectators, volunteers, cheer squads and DJs. adidas will host an energizing activation halfway along the course, and Runacademy will be out with a lively cheer squad to boost your motivation.
CUT-OFF TIME & MINIMUM AGE
The Swedish Police Authority has granted a maximum race time of 3 hours.
If you start in start group 10 at 11:50, you must finish no later than 14:50.
There is a cut-off (reptid) at 14:02 at the 15 km mark.
Runners who have not passed 15 km by this time will not be allowed to continue and will be guided off the course. It is approximately a 1‑km walk back to the event area.
Swedish Athletics Federation competition rules apply.
All participants run at their own risk.
Minimum age: 17 years.
COMPETITION RULES
The following items are not allowed: walking poles, strollers, inline skates, roller skis, bicycles, handcycles, and racing wheelchairs.
For wheelchair participants, the following applies:
- Same age requirement as all other participants
- Guide/assistant is optional and free of charge (contact [email protected] for guide registration)
- No competitive wheelchair class
- Free-wheel recommended
- No racing wheelchairs permitted
- Start in the last start group
- Accessibility may be limited in some areas due to curbs or uneven terrain
PRIZE MONEY
Prize money of 10,000 SEK, 6,000 SEK, and 4,000 SEK will be awarded to the top three female and male runners.
To be eligible for prize money, you must start in start group 1 at 11:00.
The first three runners across the finish line in each category will be placed 1–3.
Winners will also receive prizes from adidas and gift cards from Joe & The Juice.
AND REMEMBER…
21,098 meters is a long distance, and you need to save energy for the final part of the race. Do not start if you are not fully healthy, and do not push yourself to continue if you feel unwell. Running while sick or with cold symptoms can be dangerous.
If the weather is warm, ensure you drink water. Bring a bottle from home to use before and after the race.
SERVICE
CHANGING FACILITIES
We recommend arriving already dressed for the race.
After the race (from around 12:00), a changing tent will be available in the event area (no showers). Space is limited, so we advise changing at home if possible.
There are no shower facilities on-site.
TOILETS
Toilets are available in the event area and at all hydration stations along the course.
Please use the toilets — not the surrounding nature — as the race takes place in the Royal National City Park.
Free menstrual products are available in our information tent at all our events.
BAG DROP
A bag drop area is located in the event area where you can leave your warm-up clothing.
With your race bib, you will receive a numbered sticker matching your bib number. Attach this to your own waterproof bag (there is no roof over the bag drop area, and bags are not provided).
Please:
- Bring your own bag
- Bring a safety pin to attach the sticker
- Drop off your bag early to avoid queues
- Avoid bringing valuables
FINISH LINE SERVICES
After crossing the finish line, you will receive your medal — unless you opted out during registration as part of our sustainability initiative.
If you chose to opt out, your bib will say “NO MEDAL”.
Finish line refreshments include:
- Vitamin Well drink
- Knoppers wafer bar (contains nuts)
- Corny bar
- ProPud chocolate milkshake
RESULTS
Preliminary results are published immediately after the race at premiarhalvan.se.
Official results will be posted approximately one week later.
Regardless of your start group, your time is measured from when you cross the start line to when you cross the finish line.
A QR code on your bib links directly to your results.
FIRST AID
Our first aid team is located in the event area and at three of the five hydration stations (stations 2, 3, and 5).
Do not start the race if you are unwell. Consult the first aid team before the race if you feel uncertain.
During the race, their role is to provide immediate care and ensure participants who require further treatment are transported to hospital.
They may remove runners from the course if they are injured, exhausted, or unable to continue safely.
If you need transport back to the event area, motorcycle transport is available — contact the nearest volunteer.
SUSTAINABILITY
As organizers of a major event, we work actively to reduce our environmental impact. You can contribute by:
- Traveling by public transport
- Reducing single‑use materials
- Making climate‑smart choices
- Offsetting your carbon footprint
In the forests and parks, please stay on the marked course and respect the rules of the National City Park. Many animals live in the area — please ensure that safety pins do not end up on the ground.
We are proud to collaborate with Sortera, who ensure that all waste is sorted at the event’s recycling station.
Please dispose of waste correctly — clear signage will guide you.
All collected waste is handled by Sortera at their facilities.
